Here is a little overview on what I'm actually doing on the farm and the agrobusiness sector in Norway.

The farm is rather small compared to the ones you can see in the USA or in France. David, the owner, has only 70 sheeps (of course, there is more sheeps during the lamming period, with all the lambs) but being big or huge is not the goal of the owner. He just wants to earn some money doing what he wants to do, and live with good products from the farm. Indeed, he plants some vegetables also which provides him it's own food. He raises also porks to make it's own sausages or ham. These are very good, and provides him a very healthy life!

The stable, with the hay in the central part. Animals have no access in it.

2 times a day, we're feeding the animals with hay and during the night we add some concentrate vitamins (it is the lamming period, so sheeps needs energy to give birth to lambs!). We're monitoring also in the stable if everything's ok, if there is no birth. Because sometimes they need some help, sometimes the lamb is not in the good position in the vagina and cannot pass. And that can lead to death, which means less money owned by selling lambs, so it's really important, even critical!

One box for new-born lambs with their mothers. It is useful to isolate them from the rest of the animals, because other sheeps can trample on lambs or the lamb can loose its mother and die of starvation.

When we're not taking care of the sheeps, we help for other works in the farm. For example, throwing away the snow which is on the way to go to the barn, where we store hay, or reparing fences destroyed by snow removers. We can see how life is difficult for a farmer!
